What we collect
When you order, we collect the name, email, phone number, fulfillment details, order selections, payment status, and service instructions needed to prepare and deliver the order. Account holders also have a password hash, points balance, optional offer interests, preferences, and paid-order history. We do not store your payment card number.
How we use it
We use customer information to price and fulfill orders, provide receipts and status updates, prevent duplicate transactions, support customers, maintain rewards, improve the ordering experience, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Paid-order history may be used to calculate first-party favorites, order recency and frequency, spending, average order value, and preferred fulfillment so customers can reorder more easily and Nerd Pizza can understand its audience. We limit use to purposes that are reasonably necessary for those services.
Guest checkout and accounts
Guest checkout remains available. A signed, secure browser cookie links a guest's paid orders and points on that device. Creating an account lets the customer use that history across signed-in devices. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
Messages and marketing
Order confirmations, delay notices, and ready-for-pickup messages are service communications. Promotional email and automated promotional texts are separate, optional choices. They are not required to order. When a customer opts into a channel, Nerd Pizza may tailor offers using that customer's selected interests and paid-order patterns. Email recipients can unsubscribe, and text recipients can reply STOP. We do not treat silence or a preselected box as consent.
Cookies
Necessary browser storage keeps carts, sign-in sessions, checkout security, and privacy preferences working. Analytics and advertising storage stay off unless the visitor permits those categories in Cookie settings. Consent can be changed from the site footer. Nerd Pizza does not use cross-site customer profiles or session-replay recordings for these first-party customer insights.
Sharing, sale, and processors
We may provide the minimum necessary information to vendors that host the site, process payments, fulfill delivery, send approved communications, or support restaurant operations. Nerd Pizza does not sell customer personal data. If our practices change to include targeted advertising or a sale as defined by applicable law, we will provide the required notice and opt-out choice first.
Retention and security
We keep order and customer records only as long as reasonably needed for service, accounting, fraud prevention, rewards, and legal requirements. We use access controls, signed sessions, server-only credentials, and purpose-limited data access. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may update marketing preferences from your rewards account. To request access, correction, deletion, or an appeal of a privacy request, email info@nerdpizza.net. We may verify the request before acting and may retain records required by law or legitimate business needs.
Children
The direct-order account and marketing program is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian should contact us if a child submitted personal information.
